EX184 Rare Duhme Sterling Marine Salad Serving Set

Circa 1880

A rare long handle salad serving set by Duhme of Cincinnati Ohio in pristine condition with applied marine life on the handles. There are multiple shells in the top cluster and a lobster below a single letter "N" monogram. The handles are spot hammered.

Length 12"

Weight 10 troy oz.

SOLD

Note: This is an unusual motif for the Duhme Company and very different to the Gorham and Tiffany pieces of this period. The bowls are narrow so it probably had a specific purpose.
